If you have prior motorcycling experience and are seeking to enhance your road safety skills and get licensed, the Basic Rider Course 2 is well-suited for your needs.

This one-day program provides a comprehensive course covering essential riding techniques and prepares riders for the South Carolina Motorcycle rider test (endorsement waiver). Riders must have Proficiency in motorcycle control to attend. The curriculum encompasses 4 hours of eCourse classroom training and 6 hours of on-cycle training covering fundamental operations, effective braking, turning, obstacle avoidance all delivered by nationally certified MSF instructors.

In this Intermediate rider course program, Participants may utilize their own street-legal, insured motorcycles or opt to use motorcycles provided by the program. Graduates receive a certificate of completion, which may qualify them for reduced insurance premiums and retailer discounts and DMV license endorsement waiver paperwork. The South Carolina skill test is included for endorsement purposes.

What is required to attend this course?

  • Riding experience in the last 5 years.
  • Bring your own motorcycle or use one of ours.
  • Riders need a current SC Riders permit (or proof of recent pass) to be eligible for the SC motorcycle endorsement test.
  • Bring your own DOT-approved helmet (must cover ears) with a shield or glasses. We do offer loaner helmets
  • Wear a long sleeve shirt or jacket suited to the weather, long pants, sturdy over-the-ankle shoes/boots (not canvas), and full-fingered gloves.
  • Use eye protection if your helmet lacks a shield.
  • Be able to balance and ride a bicycle.
  • Pack a rain suit if rain is expected.

The RULE on the range is “no skin visible” while on the bike. We take rider safety very seriously, if you arrive without the necessary gear, you will not ride. ATGATT (All the Gear, All the Time!)

Individuals lacking this proficiency will be advised to enroll in the two-day Learn to Ride program, less a $50 service fee.
